Rochester People’s Climate Coalition (RPCC) and League of Women Voters are excited to bring climate change into the conversation at area elections, as we cosponsor a Candidate Forum on green jobs and a sustainable economy.
Building an Economy for Climate Stability: Candidate Forum 2015 will be an opportunity for those running for public office within Monroe County to present their vision on a greening economy.
This event, moderated by Dr. Susan Spencer, President and Founder of ROCSPOT, presents a unique opportunity for voters to learn how their candidates’ platform relates to climate change solutions. The event is free and open to the public.
Wednesday, September 16
The Harley School, 1981 Clover Street
Voters, please reach out to the candidates (especially Cheryl Dinolfo) to let them know you want them to attend! You’ll find contact information for (most) candidates running for Monroe County Legislature here: Candidate Contact Info. If a candidate is listed in green, they are already planning to attend. If a candidate is listed in red, his/her opponent(s) are attending, but he/she isn’t. These red candidates, as well as the candidates running in your district, are the ones we suggest you contact first.
